BIRTHDAYS:  Happy Birthday to Marcus McCallister!  Birthday greetings to Martha White, Lindsey Paulson, Gabriela Arias, Emma Meyer, Jillian Mathieu, Thomas Jacoby, Sarah Sorensen, and Mr. Wiggins, who celebrate their birthdays over the long weekend!

NO SCHOOL:  October 19 & 20.       Fall Break

NEW: The yearbook is seeking your fishing pictures.  All pictures must have been taken within the past year.  Email pictures to Mr. Kastenberg and include your name, where the fish was caught, the species and size of the fish if known.  The yearbook staff reserves the right to exclude pictures for any reason.  Happy angling St. Anthony! 

Seniors and senior parents!!!  An email is due to Mr. Kastenberg with your senior picture, baby picture, and senior quote before October 31st.  Take note that all Senior and baby pictures need to be portrait layout.  Props are not allowed in senior pictures, no exceptions.  Take those pictures asap and send everything in one email so the yearbook staff can easily identify you!  E-mail to:

Attention students who like having fun ... this year's Sadies dance is a costume dance since it is the week of Halloween. The dance will be Friday, Nov. 3 from 8-11. Bring a date, or bring your whole crew. Let's pack the commons!

Can you walk? Can you run? Do you like winning? Sign up for the 7th annual SAVHS Turkey Trot. The fun run will be Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. at Silverwood Park. The race costs $25 and includes post-race treats and a t-shirt. You must sign up by Oct. 26 to guarantee your shirt. Registration forms are in the main office or in Ms. G's room (310).

Seniors and Senior Parents:  Senior shout-outs in the yearbook this year will be purchased and created directly by parents on the Jostens website.  Please pick up a flier in the office or see the pdf attached to the announcements for details.

October is College Knowledge Month.  Some colleges and universities in Minnesota waive their application fees for the entire month of October and many more waive their fee during the week of October 23-27.  See the attachment for a list of schools participating!

October college visits wind down with Univ of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on October 23rd and University of Minnesota-Rochester on October 26th.  Don't forget to sign up in the counseling office before the visit.

NEW: There is NO RoboHuskie on Wednesday!  Anyone who is willing to WORK can come to school on Friday at 1:00 to start cleaning out the storage closet.  We will work until we run out of energy or people.  We will continue to clean on Saturday at 1:00 until we are done.  Call Lulai's room 103 at 612-706-1146 before you show up to be sure we are still working.

The SAVHS Chamber Choir has a bowling fundraiser to help the kids travel and perform in Italy next spring.  Saturday, October 21, 2017 Tickets are $20 (includes 2 hours of bowling and shoes) Flyer is attached
